A splendid 9 Acre Campus Dedicated to Transformation

The School of Ancient Wisdom – the very name perhaps conjures up an image of an exotic, ancient land, exuding a unique charm, and with something really special to offer.
Nestled in sylvan surroundings on IVC road, Devanahalli (meaning the abode of the Gods), The School of Ancient Wisdom is a Spiritual centre following the tradition of the mystery schools, and teaching ancient, yet timeless and eclectic truths, to aid self transformation and higher learning. It is also believed to be the place where Rishi Agasthya himself resided in ancient times.

With a fairyland-like appearance, adorned with purple and green roofed buildings, and beauty in practically every direction you look, the centre also houses at least 40 different species of birds!
One can scarcely imagine that this centre was once a barren land, that was transformed by divine touch, when Manize Sait, the founder, was intuitively guided to create a Spiritual centre here. Manize’s artistic prowess and strong design sense are visible in every single room of each of the many buildings at the centre.
As you enter the portals of the beautiful premises of the School of Ancient Wisdom, you are greeted on the left with the office and a bookshop, with interesting books on a range of spiritual topics.
You are then met with beautiful stone-walled residences called the Pyramids, that also lead you to the Agasthya Hall, a beautiful white building, which is among the highlights of the centre. This is among the main destinations where talks, lectures and discussions on various spiritual topics take place. The pyramidal structure, and white marble floors that contrast with the colourful painted glass windows, give the building a charm that is simply out of this world!
The pyramid shape that characterises many buildings at the centre symbolises stability. The pyramid’s wide base and narrow top makes it very stable and resistant to tipping over. The shape of a pyramid also symbolises strength and power.

Opposite the Agasthya Hall is the Meeting Point cafeteria, displaying beautifully crafted furniture and decor that’s so tastefully selected, that it’s certainly a class apart. Ahead of the cafeteria, in about the centre of the premises, stands a large, attractive statue of the Torch Bearer, symbolising the fact that we must lead others in the light of truth. Opposite the statue is the Admin block that has many rooms where guests can stay overnight, as well as a well-stocked library with books on a range of meaningful and interesting topics. It is also a cosy place to sit reading the books.
Pithy statements emphasising universal truths appear on placards at regular intervals throughout the campus, reminding us of the significance of seeking the truth that Manize harped on.
Up ahead on the left is the Hexagon, another pretty building where talks and Spiritual discourses take place. The Pavillion, a large dining hall lies ahead, to the left of which is Maitreya, a residential building which also contains a lecture hall, a hall to stage performances as well as one that displays beautiful paintings. To the right of the Pavillion is the Courtyard that also contains a lecture hall and residential rooms where guests can stay overnight.
Pretty gazebos also add to the charm of the place, where one can spend time in meditation, quiet contemplation, or simply soak in the stunning beauty of the surroundings.
The School of Ancient Wisdom has been graced with the presence of many eminent speakers, spiritual teachers and visitors from across the globe, some notable figures include Andrew Cohen, Brandon Bays, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and many more, making it a truly global spiritual centre with an international appeal.
